After Crossing the Creek....

2008.11.04
On my excursion with Joe (Gnatbytes) and Beth (Quietgal), we found... more creek! ;)

And the former quarry, which is full of water and now serves as the water supply for the nearest town.

For perspective, here's Beth (alias Quietgal) providing a sense of scale for the quarry walls. The walls on the opposite side are where the rock climbers like to practice, but they're not permitted on this wall extending down into the water. Can't have the reservoir polluted with falling rock climbers, I suppose! ;)

coyoteself WOW. The soft colors of the trees against harsh rock makes a wonderful contrast

TheBigHush The last pic is stunning! Like you say, perspective is what it's all about - and it's not just the quarry wall but also the trees at the top which create such a sense of grandeur.
