Road to Nowhere

2008.11.07
Hmmm.... The road looks a bit overgrown up ahead. Wonder if it really does go nowhere?

Yep. Definitely goes nowhere!

Well, unless you consider landing in the creek to be a destination....

Road to Nowhere

A few photos from the place with the steel cables to cross the creek. Originally part of Rt 82, after a bad storm about 20 years ago caused flooding that washed out two bridges and several large sections of road, it was closed permanently and is now a hiking / recreation area.

LeonardoDaNiepce Looks like somewhere to me!
If you really think about it, there is no such thing as nowhere!
As for holding a Formula 1 race there: may the best driver be a magician and a pilot! Happy landings to all else!

mystic1 Great shot, roads are cool when they are long and curves to no where
mystic1 · 2008-11-16: 02:18
TheBigHush I like how you got more of the road into the shot than the sky in #1 - I think that would've been the natural instinct and much of the emphasis would have been lost.

So this is what off-road driving really means huh ? :)

photopoet Isn't it amazing how nature takes care of things? Hiking there is probably better than driving. Great series.
